Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 1 (ANI): Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who recently joined the Gujarat Titans (GT), experienced an emotional reunion with his former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate and top batsman Virat Kohli. This encounter took place as both teams prepared for their match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which happens to be Siraj’s home ground.
An intensely hot Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), having clinched decisive victories in both of their initial away matches against the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the five-time title holders Chennai Super Kings (CSK), will now face Shubman Gill's leading Gujarat Titans (GT) in their inaugural home match of the season on Wednesday. The Gujarat Titans have shown inconsistent performance so far this campaign, securing one victory and suffering one defeat. In their triumph over the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI), fast bowler Siraj made an impressive contribution to GT’s lineup, taking 2 wickets for just 34 runs off four overs with his outstanding bowling display.
A video posted on the official X account of RCB featured Siraj embracing Virat emotionally; Siraj has often mentioned how much support and playing opportunities Virat provided during challenging times. In this reunion, he was also seen catching up with captain Rajat Patidar, bowler Yash Dayal, head coach Andy Flower, and cricket director Mo Bobat.
"Night transforms swiftly, yet the connection stays unbroken. Once an RCBian, forever an RCBian!" posted RCB on their X account.
