Bhopal ( Madhya Pradesh [India], April 1 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh In the state capital, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presided over a cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya. Bhopal on Tuesday and informed the council of ministers about the priorities and activities of the state government.
As he spoke to the ministers, Chief Minister Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh It stands as the sole state within the nation to have settled all debts owed to industrial entities. No outstanding payments remain for these industries, making Madhya Pradesh the first state to achieve this feat.
" Madhya Pradesh It stands as the sole state where all payments for both major and minor industrial entities—ranging from micro to medium-sized units—are entirely settled. The state administration is dedicated to swiftly progressing toward greater industrial development. For the fiscal year 2024-25, a sum of Rs 3,100 crores has been disbursed to larger industries. Additionally, under the purview of the Industrial Department,Rs 702 crores were allocated to these sizable industrial establishments, according to Chief Minister Yadav.
Under the MSME The department is disbursing Rs 1,075 crore as outstanding incentives. Altogether, Rs 2,162 crore has been paid out. MSME Units for the period 2024-25 will follow this pattern. Currently, incentives amounting to Rs 1777 crore are being distributed via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). MSME and large units, benefiting more than 2500 industrial units, the Chief Minister added.
He added, “The ‘School Chale Hum’ initiative was launched on April 1st, with registration processes continuing over four days. From April 1 through April 4th, ministers aim to work towards ensuring the successful execution of this enrollment drive within their individual districts. At the beginning of the new academic term, the state administration plans to supply textbooks to approximately 85 lakh pupils. Distribution of these educational materials will occur concurrently with various events such as cultural programs, sporting activities, and special food offerings later this month. Officials are currently formulating a schedule for conducting all these initiatives.”
CM Yadav further notified the Cabinet members that all current and upcoming CM Rise schools will henceforth be referred to as 'Sandipani Vidyalaya.'
He also mentioned that an IT conclave will take place in Indore on April 27. The city has significant untapped potential in the field of information technology, and around 200 domestic and international firms are expected to attend this gathering.
In addition, the CM announced that the central government approved a special central assistance of Rs 284 crore for housing facilities for industrial working women. This amount will be used to provide hostel facilities for 5120 women in industrial areas such as Pithampur, Mandideep, Malanpur, Vikram Udyogpuri, Jhabua, Singrauli, Dewas, and Narmadapuram.
Furthermore, CM Yadav informed that wheat is being procured from farmers at the support price of Rs 2600 a quintal. District in-charge ministers and public representatives should monitor the weighing and other arrangements to ensure smooth operations of this process. So far, 14.76 lakh farmers have registered for wheat procurement, and approximately 8 lakh metric tons of wheat have been procured from about 1 lakh farmers.
