On Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 a.m., Morocco will advance its clocks by 60 minutes, shifting back to GMT+1 from temporary standard time observed during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform had earlier stated that the nation would shift to GMT at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in order to align with Ramadan. This move adhered to Decree No. 2.18.855 from October 26, 2018, which governs the regulations for adjusting the kingdom’s official time.
The recurring discussion about changing the clocks twice a year in Morocco continues, with supporters claiming it increases economic efficiency, whereas opponents point out its effects on everyday life patterns and natural body cycles.
