Dragon's Lair: Season 3 Production Kicks Off in the UK – An International Edition Exclusive

Washington D.C., [USA], April 1 (ANI): Great news for all House of the Dragon enthusiasts!

Shooting for the much-anticipated season three of "House Of the Dragon" has finally started in the United Kingdom, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

The show will comprise eight episodes.

Furthermore, the series has revealed two cast members for the upcoming season: Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) has been cast as Ser Roderick Dustin, and Dan Fogler (known for his role in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them") will play Ser Torrhen Manderly, according to the source.

The production has revealed its lineup of new directors for the season, featuring Clare Kilner, Nina Lopez-Corrado, Andrij Parekh, and Loni Peristere.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming series is slated to premiere at some point in 2026.

They become part of the show’s main cast, joining Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, and Abubakar Salim.

Based on on George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood, the series is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen.

Seasons 1 and 2 of House of the Dragons gained immense popularity following their launch. As reported by HBO, the first season drew an average audience of around 29 million viewers per episode—surpassing all but the last two seasons of Game of Thrones.

Ryan Condal serves as the showrunner for The House of the Dragon, alongside co-creator George R.R. Martin and executive producers Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett. (ANI)
