UEDCL not hiring
Several red flags point to a fake job ad.
An unofficial email address ( [email protected] ) is used instead of a verified UEDCL domain. Legitimate organisations, especially government-affiliated ones, would use official company emails for recruitment, not generic or free email services such as Outlook or Gmail.
We also could not find the vacancies on UEDCL's website or its official Facebook and X profiles, which the business typically uses for job postings. The sole opening What we discovered on their site was an opening for a store assistant position.
The significant number of open positions – approximately 200 roles spanning from engineering posts to security personnel – has sparked suspicion. It’s uncommon for a firm of this stature to publicly list such a high volume of job openings simultaneously without issuing an official statement.
On March 19, 2025, UEDCL posted the job advertisement on their official X account.
UEDCL is referenced in this circulating document encouraging individuals to apply for positions. We wish to distance ourselves from it and caution the public to disregard it entirely.
