Fresh Creative Foods has issued a recall for a well-known sauce sold at Trader Joe's due to undetected nuts.
The FDA announced that the recall for Trader Joe’s Hot Honey Mustard Dressing affected stores in Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington D.C., with the action taken on March 31st.
The recalled items have labels that fail to alert consumers about the presence of peanuts, soy, sesame, and wheat in the sauce. These components are known allergens.
Every item that was recalled had an expiration date of May 27, 2025.
There have been no reports of complaints, injuries, or fatalities due to consumption of the sauce.
The Spicy Honey Mustard Dressing can be found at every Trader Joe's location for $3.99 per bottle.
Customers who've purchased the bottle can return it to Trader Joe's for a full refund, or throw it in the trash.
The FDA recommends that other customers who have purchased and used the dressing throw away the product right away.
