An inclusive workplace allows the industry to understand and meet the needs of a diverse customer base, boosting customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Kenya Airways exemplifies an organisation advancing DEI goals. Its 25by2025 campaign aims to increase female representation across its workforce, setting a benchmark for the industry.

Through the adoption of diversity, the airline supports Sustainable Development Goal Number 5 concerning gender equality, improves its operational effectiveness, and establishes itself as a pioneer in environmentally responsible business operations.

Variety within the employee base encompasses a wide range of positions, every one crucial for the seamless operation of the complete corporate environment.

Employers must ensure recruitment, training, promotions, and other employment practices are free from discrimination based on race, colour, gender, language, religion, nationality, disability, or any other grounds.

This commitment to fairness aligns with ethical principles and creates a harmonious and productive work environment.

Legal and ethical frameworks supporting diversity in Kenya

Such principles are supported by frameworks like Article 27 of the Constitution of Kenya and the Employment Act 2007, both of which promote equality of opportunity in employment.
