Zimbabweans Celebrated for Upholding PeaceIntl Ed. (English)

HARARE, April 1 (AinotiLive) - Archbishop Andby Makururu, who leads the Johanne Marange Apostolic Church in Zimbabwe, praised his countrymen for keeping the peace during the demonstrations organized by prominent war veteran Blessed "Bombshell" Geza on Monday.

The demonstrations aimed to voice the public's discontent over President Emmerson Mnangagwa's purported poor leadership.

In recent updates on his social media accounts, Geza urged for nationwide demonstrations against Mnangagwa and demanded that he step down.

A number of individuals participated in the demonstrations in Harare, yet numerous others decided against joining them.

On Tuesday, Makururu praised Zimbabweans for upholding peace.

"I wish to express my gratitude to God and the people of Zimbabwe for keeping peace," he stated.

It was anticipated that people would lose their lives, but we didn’t document any fatalities. This is truly the work of God.
